Humans are often ridiculed for their prodigious birth rates. Some say that this makes up for their short life spans. Humans live to a maximum of around 80 years. They tend to be highly adaptable and can be found in almost any environment. Humans don’t excel at any particular endeavor more than any other race but, they also lack the general weaknesses that other races have.
The Olephemi believe themselves to be better than most other races. There is a superiority complex that is ingrained into the culture that leads Olephemi to be somewhat imperial to the other races. They have a slight but graceful build and tend to stand a little taller than Humans. Their life span is a little longer than humans. Their slight build leaves them unable to sustain themselves in extreme heat or cold. They have a slight blue coloration to their skin that varies from person to person. They are highly social and tend to group together and often will go out of their way to help each other. Often, Olephemi like to use their social skills and natural charisma to get their way in any detrimental situation.
Legend says that the Deimos are the descendants of humans who chose to bond themselves with powerful otherworldly spirits. Whether there is truth to that or not, it cannot be denied that the Deimos are physically imposing and quite powerful. They stand anywhere from 6 to 9 feet tall with a stocky, thick build. Deimos have clay colored skin and a pair of horns that grow from their forehead. Though Deimos do not fight mindlessly, they do have a culture that reveres martial prowess and toughness. To that end, Deimos are more likely to fight out their problems than talk about them.
Elves were once as populous as the Olephemi but, after the war they bore the brunt of the blame though in fact, they had largely chosen to stay neutral. The emperor waged a hate-filled campaign against the Elves that would see them reviled and hated as the absolute worst. It wasn’t until the death of the emperor at the hands of the Elf named Melei that public perception would slowly begin to change. Even today, Elves are often distrusted and seen in a negative light by the elderly. Elves are slightly shorter than humans with slightly more angular features and pointed ears. They have a natural affinity with magic and are both able to get more out of it as well as it affects them more intensely. Most Elves live as nomads in very small family sized bands. Elven culture is almost completely stamped out. Their language, customs and beliefs are lost to time and hardship.
The Sauren people were only recently rediscovered and as such have been having a hard time integrating into society. They are reptilian beings who find the common terran tongue rather difficult for their mouths. Those who have studied the Sauren language find that it is quite flowing and poetic but, most who hear it only hear the hissing and other sounds used and dismiss the language as a whole. Sauren people are not any less intelligent than the other races but find it more difficult to interact. Sauren culture is very close. They tend to collectivist thought and find it hard to deal with the fiercely individualistic manner of most other cultures in Terra. They stand a little taller than humans but tend to hunch over. They are actually quite fast in bursts and capable of incredible feats of explosive strength but, lack the incredible endurance of the Deimos. Sauren people are naturally quite resistant to magic but, also find it difficult to practice magic. This leads them to an interest in technology to which they have shown a natural aptitude.
